Which is said to better, a student with rank upto 100 in GATE or student who have completed Masters from WBUT?

If a student(who has done masters from open university) secures a rank within 1000 in gate, then is this student more meritorious than a student who has done his masters from wbut?

1.This is not fixed every time for companies that deciding to recruit candidate with same GATE rank.
but minimum you should exhibit 100 percentile to get the job for open category . It is very crucial situation when low percentile candidate of Reserved category candidate get job but it is true at every time. so, 100 percentile should be min requirement to get the job. . . . . . . . . .

BHEL, NTPC etc companies that recruits candidate through GATE score.
or, if you want to continue study and get NIT's college to complete your M.tech then you need also min 100 percentile to appear in NIT'S college if you are in Open Category.

Good Luck ````

Minimum GATE rank for getting jobs in GATE based govt. jobs?

2. the GATE rank will be based on the score you get in that exam.
BUT the qualifying marks will not be fixed they depend on the score of all the candidates attended the exam.
qualifying marks will be nearly between 25 to 28 for general, 22 to 25 for obc, and 14 to 16 for other backward castes(rough estimation given according to last gate exam).

So to join in any GATE based government jobs you need to get qualifying mark.

3.you have many opportunities after your masters also no matter which institution.......
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
