STARTING SALARY OF Ph.D Geography Professor IS 35000-40000. IT INCREASES WITH THE RULE OF GOVERNMENT OR 6 PAY COMMISSION.

With a PHd degree you will be eligible for the UGC pay scale. You salary will depend on your experience. As a assistant lecturer you can expect a salary of Rs 45000- 60000. As a senior lecturer one can expect above Rs 60000. It can go upto Rs. 85000/-. Other than salary factor you must go in for this profession only if have a passion for this field.
