Company profile: NIRD is responsible for performing training, research, action research and consultancy functions in the rural sector. It conducts training programs, conferences, seminars and workshops for development in rural sector. The main aim is to improve the knowledge, skills and attitude of rural development officials and non officials through proper programs.

Job profile: The professors will be given the responsibility to promote and impart quality education in various fields in the rural sector for its development and provide them with a sufficient knowledge to succeed and make a challenging career ahead.

Eligibility: A candidate must not exceed the age of 56 years. However, relaxation can be claimed.

Educational Qualifications: A candidate must have a post graduate degree with PhD or M.COM with PhD or Economics with PhD or M.TECH in civil engineering with PhD or M.Sc as the case may be. A candidate must have a minimum experience of 2 years for the post of an assistant professor, 7 years for an associate professor and 10 years for a professor in the relevant field.

There are 8 posts in total which include 1 post for professor, 3 for associate professor and 4 for assistant professor.

Pay sale: The pay scale for a professor will be Rs16400-22400, for an associate professor it is Rs12000-18300 and for an assistant professor it is Rs8000-13500 (pre-revised scale) plus other usual allowances as per the rules.

Selection procedure: The candidates will be short listed on the basis of their qualifications and relevant experience and then they will be called for an interview.
