Re: Scope of Marine engineering in future?
This to all those people out there who dream of marine engineering as a highly lucrative job and a job ushering king size life.
well none of it is true. being a marine engineer myself i believe that i have faced enough of this marine nonsensical drama and i am eligible to speak upon it. the post would go long... so let me cut short.... there is 88% unemployment rate in marine engineering. that mean out of 100 students clearing only 12 get to be on a real ship. secondly there are very few shore based applications for marine degree..... once marine always a marine. thirdly the person claiming marine eng. to be highly rewarding job are the people who run these institutes who have no reagrds for your future career but only with your parents hard earned money. so in conclusion a marine graduate would say that dont even mistakingly join merchant navy. it is a swamp covered by dollars and illusions. |
