Re: Software or Computer Science Engineering, which is better to study in BTech course?
You should choose computer science if you like math ,logic,or if you want to get into a specialization field in CS such as artificial intelligence, machine learning ,security or graphics. Software engineering- you should choose software engineering if you are more interested in the hands - on approach , and if you want to learn the overall life cycle of how software is built and maintained. Both are very gud .You can choose according to you. Thankyou

Re: Software or Computer Science Engineering, which is better to study in BTech course?
Neither is better, they are just two slightly different fields, each with its pros and cons.
Computer science is the broader field and it focuses more on the theoretical side, such as algorithm design, computational theory will also and compass the architectural side of computing, such as computer architecture, basic circuitry. Software engineering is the narrower field, more focused on application development and there may be a lot more coding and less physics. You will likely have to take classes on a database language, mobile application development and website design. |

Re: Software or Computer Science Engineering, which is better to study in BTech course?
Both the specializations are good in B.Tech course and offer wide variety of job opportunities for the candidates.
Let me tell you some of the differences between these 2 specializations. Computer Science Engineering mostly focuses on principles and use of Computers where as Software Engineering focuses on application of Engineering processes like creation and designing of software. You will get to know some hardware knowledge in Computer Science Engineering which is not being taught in Software Engineering. You will get some programming knowledge from both the specializations. Here are some of the areas that will be covered in Computer Science Engineering -Algorithms -Computational Science -Operating Systems -Programming languages -Discrete Structures -Information Management -Intelligent Systems etc. Some of the areas that will be covered in Software Engineering are as follows : -Software Modeling and Analysis -Software Design -Software Verification -Software Validation -Software Testing -Software Quality etc. I would suggest you to opt for the stream as per your areas of interest. |

Re: Software or Computer Science Engineering, which is better to study in BTech course?
Computer science is research oriented, computer engineering is application oriented. In theory software engineering is a subset of Computer Engineering but in practice computer engineering often referred mostly to hardware. In practice, a lot of computer science programs focus most on software.
Both of these courses are well paid in Companies. Architect and software engineer directors are equally well paid. |

First thing that i want to tell you is- if you are interested to study Software Engineering then do not follow any other's suggestion and pursue what you want to pursue.
And second thing is that both the sector are quite similar and do not have very much difference. You can choose any of the sector from both. Every sector is better in their own perspective. |

As per my suggestion you should go for Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering course for you bright future. B.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering or Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering is an undergraduate Computer Science and Engineering course. The duration of this course is four years.
The name of bet jobs for you after completing this course are given below. => R&D Applications Engineer/Scientist => Academic Research Editor => Tech Lead Software Engineering => Software Developer => Voice Engineer => Manager => Team Lead => Computer Programmer => Engineering Support Specialist |
