Steps to become Superintendent of Police for 11th Arts student?
Hello Sir, I want to become an SI of Police. I am studying 11th Arts. So, I want to know about the steps that how I can become the Superintendent of Police? Please help me to know about this. Thank you!

SP(Superintendent of Police ) and SI ( Sub-Inspector ) both of them are two different post in police.
To become SP you have to appear and qualify for Civil Service examination which is conducted by UPSC. For recruitment as an SI, candidates have to qualify for SSC entrance examination. The required qualification for both the recruitment is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree in any discipline. |

In order to become supritendent of police, one has to complete the bachelors program in any stream from a recognised University. After completing the graduation candidate is eligible to write Civil Service exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission. The exam consists of written test and interview and after successfully qualifying all the stages one is eligible for the post of assistant superintendent of police. After few years of service candidate are promoted in the following manner:

SI means Sub Inspector. Superintendent of Police is and Indian Police Services examination. Sub Inspector is at lower rank of Indian Police System. State government conduct entrance exam for Sub Inspector posts.
For Indian Police Services, Civil Services examination is conducted by UPSC. The academic qualification for both exams is same that is bachelor's degree from a recognized university. The age criteria for SI differs from state to state. You can apply for Civil Services examination and clear its all stages like Preliminary, mains and interview to become IPS officer. The age limit is 21-32 years. |

Procedure to become Supritendent of Police:
One has to complete the bachelors program in any stream from recognised University. Then you are eligible to write civil services exam that is conducted by Union Public Service Commission. The exam is consists of written test and interview. After successfully qualifying all the stages one is eligible for the post of Assistant Superintendent of Police. After few years of work experience service candidate are promoted in the following manner to Deputy Superintendent of Police then to Additional Superintendent of Police and finally to Supritendent of Police. |

If you want to become Sub Inspector you have to qualify for Staff Selection Commission examination.
Candidates after qualifying in written, physical and interview will become eligible for recruitment. Required minimum qualification to appear for examination is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree in any discipline. The age limit varies with examination. If your query is for SP post you have to qualify for Civil Service examination which is conducted by UPSC. |

To apply for the post of Superintendent of Police means to apply for the civil services examination. Eligibility criteria for this exam:
1. You must be Graduate, First you complete your Bachelor's degree, then you can apply for the civil services examination. 2. The age limit is 21 to 32 years. To become Superintendent of Police ( S.P or I.P.S ) you have to appear and qualify for Civil Service examination.
Civil Service Examination is conducted by UPSC. The eligibility to appear for examination is that : Candidate must have passed bachelor degree from a recognised university. The age limit to appear for examination is 21-32 years. Candidates passed bachelor degree in any discipline are eligible. The examination is conducted in three stages ( Preliminary, Mains, Interview ) so candidates have to qualify for each stages for final recruitment. The steps to become Superintendent of Police is given as below:
Step 1: You should first complete your senior secondary board examination. Step 2: Then you can select any stream in bachelor's degree and pursue it from a recognized university. Superintendent of Police is an Indian Police Services officer. After training, IPS officers join this post in district. Step 3: Apply for Civil Services exam in final year of bachelor's degree and then crack its all stages. After you pass all stages and your rank in exam will decide whether you will join IPS, IRS, IFS etc. Select IPS as your first preference in DAF while filling mains application form of Civil Services exam. |

To become a Superintendent of Police after completion of your 11th standard with Arts stream, you have to complete your 12th standard and pursue Bachelor's degree course in any discipline of your interest from a Government recognised university. You have to appear in examinations conducted for SI recruitment by your respective state public service commission. You have to clear all the rounds of the SI recruitment process to be selected as an Superintendent of Police.

Superintendent of Police (SP) is a higher post.
IPS officer after one year of training become Assistant SP then after two years as additional SP then they become SP. Examination conducted to join IPS is Civil Services examination. Academic criteria for this exam is of bachelor's degree. IPS aspirant should be minimum of 21 years to apply for this examination. |
