Procedure to become superintendent of Police after completion of engineering? Can you please let me know the steps and the procedure I need to follow for the same? It will be really helpful if you can get back to me soon on this. Thank you!

To become Superintendent of Police you have to appear and qualify in Civil Service examination which is conducted every year by UPSC.

The eligibility to appear in the examination is that :-

Candidate must have passed bachelor degree from a recognised university.

The age limit is 21-32 years with relaxation in upper age limit for reserved category.

The examination is conducted in three stages Preliminary, Mains and Interview. So, you have to prepare for all three stages of examination according to syllabus of examination available at official website www.upsc.gov.in.

As examination is considered as mother of all examination, one need to prepare for examination with dedication, devotion and determination.

Superintendent of Police is a post in Indian Police Services.

UPSC conducts Civil Services examination for selection of candidates in IPS. You need to apply for this exam and clear all stages to join this service.

1. Graduates or those in final year of bachelor's degree can apply for this exam.

2. Age limit is 21-32 years.

1. Apply for Civil Services examination next year.

2. Clear preliminary, mains, interview and secure a rank below 200 all India, you will Indian Police Services.

3. After training and certain years of experience, you will become Superintendent of Police.

To become supritendent of police you will have to force join the police department as an assistant Superintendent of Police or assistant commissioner of police by qualifying the civil service examination and civil service examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission every year.
