IAS prelims are common for all candidates. . Topics on Constitution, Indian polity, GK, mental ability, English, and social and economic development are asked for prelims. In mains, there are 7 papers. In mains, you can select an optional paper and a language paper. Engineering subjects like electrical/mechanical/civil engineering are available under the list of optional subjects.
