after passing class 10, i have applied for polytechnic diploma,i want to know if there is reservation for b.tech(especially in govt. colleges) after completing diploma diploma ? please answer my question as soon as possible....

from this year only cast reservations are there all the fees reimbursement has been removed .. if u got below 10 th rank in the e-cet exam then u r eligible for university . In university u have to only (8000-10,000)

yess in govt college , their is reservation system.

in the case of admission ST,Sc seats reservation are there.

also in the case of college fees , their also apply reservation policy .

so dont worrt

you can join B-TECh degree all the best.

There is no such provision in national level colleges i.e., in IITs and NITs.

In state government engineering colleges and many private colleges, there
is provision of keeping some seats reserved for lateral entry.

Those who have completed diploma in engineering are eligible for this
lateral entry. The state government engineering colleges conduct separate
entrance exam for lateral entry.

Through lateral entry diploma holder candidates get admission directly in
2nd year of B.Tech.

Apart from state government engineering colleges some private colleges
which conduct their separate entrance exam are

KIITS, Orissa
Indraprastha University
VIT Vellore
MIT Manipal
SLIET Punjab

Those private college which are under state engineering entrance, allow admission
on the basis of performance in state engineering entrance only which is conducted
for lateral entry in government colleges.


*(Lateral Entry = Admission in 2nd year of B.Tech.)

No,my dear that depends on your Diploma percentage.

According to your diploma percentage one merit list will be prepare and ten according to merit you get admission in B.Tech college.So,not any reservation will required.Clear..

you has 60% chances as what you said but the thing is your qualification is valid only in few colleges but if you finish 12th your qualification is valid in all colleges.for your question, the answer is you have the chance to study b.tech but not in reservation quota...you have the preferences to join in 2nd year only.

after 10th you join diploma then
after that you go for B.TECH that is good.
but for B.TECH you give the entrance exam conducted by different institution or
college.

So entrance like:--

IIT JEE conducted by IIT
OJEE,orissa for admission in any college under BPUT
AIEEE for all india good college under NIT ,CBSE
WBJEE west bengal jee

all are conducted their own entrance exam for entry in B.TECH
after diploma you direct entry in 2nd year........
