Is that true that hcl will take people who pass all the exams of btech in first attempt only

noits not true ,every company has its own recruting process .HCL may allow them to direct interview

Each and Every company brings their own different criteria every year when they visit your campus.

So its not necessary that you cannot get placed if you havn't passed the graduation in one go.
Ya it may hinder your applicability in some companies, but it surely cannot prevent you from getting placed.

Make sure of 1 thing, that when you apply for the placement,that time you should not have any backlog!

Most companies require this criteria.
