What are the advantages of doing BCA graduation as a degree? Why BCA and why not other courses? Can you please advise me? I wanted to take BCA but wanted to understand the major advantages of it, to proceed further with next steps. Thanks!

BCA refers to Bachelor of Computer Application and same is a professional undergraduate degree course with very good scope in the software world.

As far as you are interested to know the advantage of opting BCA course instead of a simple graduation then one of the major advantage is that BCA is professional degree course and hence more job options are associated with BCA degree course as compared to simple graduation degree course in same time duration.

Further the importance of this course is crucial now a days as the world is emerging digital with high demands in software world. So you can opt for the same course at the place of any simple graduation degree course.

BCA stands for Bachelor of Computer Applications. This is a 3 year Graduation course being offered by many of the colleges in India.

Main advantages for the candidates by doing this course is
-they will learn programming languages like C, C++, Java
-they will learn Networking aspects
-they will learn backend languages like Oracle

All these skills are very much required to get a job in software industry.

Scope of Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) course:

In general, each course has its own scope in India. Likewise, BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications) has it's own scope as far as better career as well as job opportunities are concerned.

BCA course alone would not fetch you good number of job opportunities. So I suggest you to pursue Master's Degree (MCA) after completion of BCA course.

In general, there are possibilities for getting job opportunities just after completion of BCA course. You may find employment opportunities in top MNC companies like,

TCS, CTS, Wipro, Infosys, Google, IBM, Yahoo, Dell, Microsoft, HP, Apple, Sony Corporation...etc.,

BCA is a three years graduation degree while B.Tech is four years graduation degree. If you choose BCA then you will save one year to become graduate. After completion of graduation degree (BCA), you can apply for all competitive exams on the basis of graduation. Thus you will get an extra year to prepare the same exam as compare to B.Tech graduate candidate.
After compeltion of BCA, yu can work in Stock Markets, Web Designing Companies, Systems Management Companies, Colleges & Universities etc.

As far as you are concerned about the advantage of BCA ( Bachelor of Computer Application ) degree course then in my view it is beneficial to opt BCA instead of a regular graduation course because being a professional degree course BCA degree offers more job oriented options in software world in this digitally emerging and competitive world in exactly the same duration as taken by a regular graduation degree course.

B.C.A is three year duration course from a recognised university and is beneficial for candidates who are interested in pursuing their higher studies in computer.

It provides a substantial information in computer courses which will provide a better understanding. They seek up jobs in both public and private sector etc.

Yes, there are many other option of pursuing bachelor degree in different discipline but if you are interested in Computer Science and its application BCA will be among the best choice.

:- After BCA you can apply for Instructor post in Government Institutes.

:- Other government organisation recruit candidate from IT field are ONGC,BHEL,Indan oil etc.
