i have done graduation in BCA ...i am looking for a part time post graduation degree course apart from MBA or MCA ..because i feel MBA and MCA etc are common today.

i want to do a post graduation course in software programming or management field ..i want to do something different
please suggest

Choosing career of future after BCA, it is not about trying something different, rather finding out the best way you can build your career.
Personally , i think you should go for MCA after BCA, as MCA has got ample job opportunities in India and as well as abroad.

If you want to go different PG courses here are some corses and the institutes offering them:

Masters Degree in Information Management (MIM, Welingkars Institute of Management (We School) , Mumbai

Masters in Computer Management ,PDEA,S Mahatma Phule Institute of Management and Computer Studies, Pune,

Masters in Computer Management (MCM), Foresight Institute of Management & Research , Pune

Even if you are not interested in MBA or MCA, there are a number of avenues open for you - you can do M.Sc(CS), M.Sc(IT), M.Sc(Systems), or some
Diploma/certification courses like DAC or Networking. You can switch to other
fields, doing courses in Social Work, Mass Communication, Tourism and Hospitality, Fashion Technology, etc. You may also try for banking jobs or Central/State Govt. jobs.

I would only like to add that if time is a constraint for you, you can also go for
part-time MBA/MCA programs. In any case, follow your heart and do not let time slip by.

hello friend , it is liable to get admitted that MBA is most common today but still it has great scope in it since large number of management students are required every year . If you can get some top profile colleges for it such as IIM'S , MDI OR IIFT , than you can be offered a starting package of 80,000 to 1 lac a month .But there are several other courses are also available other than MBA and MCA which has great scope in india .

as you have already pursued bachelor course in computer applications , so there are several master courses which are available .

Few of them are ....

~hotel management

~tourism management

~animation and graphics industry (good remunerations )

~journalism

~air hostess courses ( age less than 25 yrs. )


the above courses can also be availed with the help of distance education .
India is home to a good number of higher educational institutions, which include colleges, universities, open universities as well as professional training centers. There are also many institutes in India that offer such Courses through Distance Education

hi Poorvi how are you...and you want to do some different course other than the professional courses, I think you are choosing wrong way because after bca, mca is better for you and after completed this course you will got a good job as well as good Life partner too.....

all the colleges are not offering MCA after bca without +2 maths badground..better try for the admission in rest of the colleges.good luck

look if you are currently doing job in any company, then MBA will best option for higher study.

otherwise you will not get valueation in correspondance MBA valueation.

so if you don't have any job, then you must do MCA.

Part time post graduation degree after BCA, MBA will best option for higher study.in current era after MBA you can get good job and hand sum mony.so it is better to do MBA.
If you can do MBA then you can admitted in MCA.

i would suggest you to do mba as it is more better.look if you are currently doing job in any company, then MBA will best option for higher study.otherwise you will not get valuation in correspondance MBA valuation. so if you don't have any job, then you must do MCA.

you have done BCA so first you just decide what's your interest area. Is it to work as a programmer, web developer software engineer etc so i think you should go for MCA if you do MCA you can get a better carrior in IT field.Or if you have a interest as to work as a Manager than you can go for MBA. you can also work in IT company by doing MBA.
