TET stands for Teachers Eligibility Test,

For the age limit there are still doubts among the applicants for the maximum age. In 2007, special BTC the maximum age was 40 years. As per the teacher service rulebook, the age is 35 years. Earlier candidates used to go various training programs of six months in various phases, which used to consume time, so the maximum age was 40 year. These parameters are according to NCTE – National Teacher Education Council. But there is demand to increase the age limit.

what is the age limit for up tet exam

TET will be a compulsory and essential requirement for securing a teaching job in all types of schools.

You must have a valid degree for B.Ed course.

The certificate can not be more than 7 years old.

There will be 2 papers with objective multiple choice questions. Each paper will consist of 150 questions. These papers are intended for different levels of teaching as described below.

1. Paper I: For those want to become teachers for classes I-V.
2. Paper II: For those want to teach classes between VI and VIII.
3. Paper I and II: Those interested in teaching from Class I to VIII will have to appear and qualify in both the papers.

General Male and Female – 37 years
OBC Male and Female – 40 years
EBC Male and Female – 40 years
SC/ST Male and Female – 42 years
