Following is the eligibility criteria for NDA

Applicant must be Indian citizen.
Applicant's date of birth should fall between 02 July 1995 and 01 January 1998 both dates are included.
For date of birth proof, UPSC will consider matriculation certificate only. No other documents are considered by the commission.
Applicant should submit the academic certificates after being shortlisted for SSB interviews.
Educational qualifications required

In order to apply for Army wing of National Defence Academy, applicant must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam in any stream.
For Air Force Academy and Navy wings of NDA, candidate should have Mathematics and Physics subjects in his 10+2 exam.
Candidates who are studying in second year of 10+2 exam are also eligible to apply for NDA & NA exam (II).
For Naval Academy also applicant must have studied Physics and Maths at 10+2 level

In short, you age should be in between 16.5 year to 20 year.
If your age fall in this range then you are eligible.

Upper age limit for NDA is 19 years. There is no age relaxation for reserved or backward category candidates. Unmarried male candidates are eligible for NDA. They should have passed HSC. The test is conducted by UPSC, two times a year.

Eligibity to apply for the NDA exams:

Education:

Indian Army- 12th class or Intermediate Pass in any stream
Indian Airforce and Indian Navy Wing- 12th class or Intermediate Pass.In class 12th you should have studied the subjects Physics and Maths.


Age-
Minimum 16.5 years
Maximum 19 years
No age relaxations is given to any candidates who apply for the NDA exams

Next NDA exams would be held in April 2014

Only Candidates born between 2nd January 1996 to 1st July 1998 can apply for these exams

Male candidates are only allowed to apply for the NDA exams

A candidate must have completed at least their 12th Std. with the PCM subjects from the Recognized Board are eligible for Indian Navy And Air Force wings and commerce and arts stream students are eligible for only Indian Army wing. there is No any Percentages Requirement for this exam....

Age of candidate should be between 16 1/2 to 19 years....

There are No any Age Relaxation for Reserved category....

Only Unmarried Male are eligible for it. (girls are not eligible for this exam)

A Candidate have nationality of INDIA...

There is no age relaxation for SC/ST candidates to appear for NDA exam.
The NDA exam is conducted by UPSC every year and the following three wings comes under the defence services:
**Indian Army
**Indian Navy
**Indian Air Force
To join in any of these services,you need to qualify the NDA exam.The minimum qualification is 12th class to appear for the NDA exam.
**Note:Female candidates are not allowed to write the NDA exam.

National Defense Academy exam is taken for recruitment for Indian Defense officers after and this exam can be given after passing 12th standard only.
Through this exam you will able to apply for three different types of defense wings.These will be :-

1. Indian Navy.
2. Indian Air-Force.

NDA Exam Eligibility Criteria:-

You need to be a citizen of India.

Gender:-

This exam can only be given by the male candidates of India. Girls are not allowed to sit for this exam.

Marital Status:-

Only unmarried male candidates are allowed to give this exam. During your stay in the NDA for training you cant get married because on doing so you will be asked to leave.

Educational Qualification:-

• To join the Army wing you need to be a higher secondary passed out student or its equivalent from a recognized institution to enter the army wing.
  
• To join the Naval Academy or Air Force Academy apart from being an HS passed student you need to have physics and mathematics at 10+2 level.

Physical Requirements:-

• There should be no evidence of weak constitution, bodily defects or under weight. You should not be overweight or obese.
  
• The minimum acceptable height is 157.5 cms. (162.5 cms for Air Force).
  
• Height relaxable upto 2.5 cm (5 cm. for Navy).
  
• Fully expanded chest should not be less than 81 cms.
  
• The minimum range of expansion after full inspiration should be 5 cms.
  
• There should be no mal-development or impairment of function of the bones or joint.
