salary scale of an individual depends upon many things.. i.e an must have

* Good marks all clear paper .
* Good communication skill .
* Good leadership qualities .
* Good behaviour.
any IITian have such listed qualities may get nice salary.

Average package = 10 - 20 lakhs.

every company offers higher salary to iit'ans

for getting a good salary one must:

pass all paers with a good marks
must have good communication skills
must posses a leadership skill
must be honest towards his work

Previous Statistics:
In 2012,IIT Bombay Computer Science student got selected in one company with salary package 86 lakhs per annum.
In 2012,IIT Hyderabad Computer Science has 40 members all 40 are selected with average salary of 20 lakhs per annum.Highest salary package is 35 lakhs per annum.
Who will get More salary:
The companies just concentrate on their technical skill rather than their CGPA
for that an average student can also get above 12 lakhs per annum.

if a person is selected in iit. the salaries are very huge depending up on the following factors:-

1. communication skills
2. technical skills.
3. name of the company got selected...
etc
all these are to be considered. and the minimum to maximum packages are around 8lakhs - 25 lakhs.

salary can depend upon the companies where they selected...some top companies such as google,microsoft,yahoo,etc..can give $12million per annum..but not all iit students were selected in those companies...

7 to 8 Lacs per annum is the average salary for IIT students. For the new IITs the average is even lesser.

ANS:Usually the candidate selected in IIt has good package compered to other candidates.
They will be given preference mostly At Least they will be paid 1 lakh per month one's they complete the btech. and comes out in the market they will have huge demand and mostly they gets selected in the campus placement only.
So, for fresher the average salary will be more than 12 lakhs + .
