After BCA you can go for following job oriented PG courses:

1. G-CAT Master
2. MCA
3. Masters Degree in Information Management (MIM)
4. Masters in Computer Management(MCM)
5. PG Diploma in Computer Applications
6. Post Graduate Programme in Corporate Studies (PGPCS)
7. Programme in Information Security Management

MCA is no doubt best among them. MCA is equivalent to B.tech in CSE or IT and you can apply to reputed IT companies for the pot of software engineers, system engineers ,programmers etc.

Choose any course keeping in mind your capability and interest.

Definitely MCA is a good choice. I will say perhaps the best choice after completing BCA. There is huge demand of MCA graduates in the IT industry. Top IT companies like Wipro, Infosys, Satyam are keen on hiring MCA graduates.


However saying that, you should only apply for the MCA if you have interest in computer programming and applications. If you only want a job in IT company but don't particularly have interest in programming languages then MBA in IT would be a better choice.


Master of Computer Applications is a two year long post graduation course. In this course you are going to learn about:

Networking

System Management

Hardware Technology



Eligibility

1. A graduation degree in any stream from a recognized university.

2. Minimum of 50 percent marks in graduation.

3. Maths should be one of the subjects in Class 12th or graduation.

Those who have scored low marks in graduation need not to worry, because Management Aptitude Test is made for such candidates. There is no minimum percentage criteria for MAT entrance exam. All you need is graduation degree.

You have answered your question yourself only. You must go for MCA after this. MCA or master's in computer applications is a technical degree just like BCA, but on a larger scale. You need to choose an optimum institute where the chance of counseling is more and the fees are also moderate. Some such institutes are Techno India, IGNOU university, Sikkim Manipal University and more. You decide which university suits you best and accordingly apply there. If any institute has entrance examinations then you will have to clear that first. Then you will have to clear the next round of interview. After that if you get selected then you will be entered in the MCA program.
