What are the chances of getting into IIT with 55 marks in GATE?


Hello Sir, I'm Imran. I got around 55 marks in GATE 2018 in Civil Engineering stream. I'm OBC. Does I have any chances of getting into IIT Bombay or any IIT with Structural Engineering branch or any other good branch? Eagerly waiting for your reply.

Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay is one of the premier institute of Technology. Your marks in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is good. You will get admission in any of IITs for M.Tech course but it is very difficult to say whether IIT Bombay or not.

You should hope for the best and participate in counselling process after GATE result is declared on 17th March, 2018.

Indian Institute of Technology Bombay is one of the top most IITs of country. Your marks is not enough to fetch you admission in IIT, Bombay.

But your score is enough for admission in other IITs and top NITs.

You can participate in counselling to know which college you will get for Master's degree in Technology.
