IAS Stands for Indian Administrative Service Examination
IPS Stands for Indian Police Service Examination .

Main Examination consist of nine papers and all the papers are descriptive type questions and there is two options subjects in Main examination .

Main Exam pattern :-

They clearly mentioned , the candidate have to select one of the Indian Language from 18 Languages from Main Exam Literatures . So don't worry you can selection any one of Indian Language from below list .



These combinations of optional subjects not allowed :-
---------------------------------------------------------------

• Political Science & International Relations and Public Administration
• Commerce and Management
• Anthropology and Sociology
• Maths and Statistics
• Agriculture and Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science
• Management and Public Administration
• Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science and Medical Science
• Any two branches of engineering.
• Two Literatures from above list .
