What is the criteria required to apply for SSC MTS? How much marks required to clear the exam? Can you please give me the information on this? What is the preparation required to ensure that I will be able to get through the exam? Thanks!

Selection Criteria for SSC MTS exam is that candidate must have passed the Xth Standard. SSC MTS selection will be done on the basis of written test and document verification. SSC MTS exam consists of Paper 1 (Objective type) and Paper 2 (Descriptive type).
Paper 1 - General Intelligence and Reasoning (25 marks - 25 questions)
Numerical Aptitude (25 marks - 25 questions)
General English (50 marks - 50 questions)
General Awareness (50 marks - 50 questions)

One who qualifies in Paper 1 are eligible to write Paper 2. Negative marking o 0.25 marks will be given for each wrong answer.

Paper 2 - Short Essay Letter in English. This test is conducted to assess the elementary language skills.

Cut off marks in Paper - 1 and qualifying marks in paper 2 will be decided by the commission based on vacancies available in different states.

For preparation on first hand you can read the Vijetha Competition books. By this your confidence levels will be increased and your understanding levels will be grown. Afterwards you can go through the daily news papers, Manorama Year Book, other regular study materials given by any coaching institute.

The eligibility criteria for SSC Multitasking exam is:

>>Candidate must have done 10th from a recognized board. Board appearing candidates can also apply for exam.

>>The age limit for this exam is 18-25 years. Upper age relaxation applicable to candidates of reserved category.

Staff Selection Commission conducts SSC MTS exam. You are interested to know about the eligibility criteria, marks required to clear the exam and preparation strategy for this exam.

Educational qualification: Student must pass Matriculation or equivalent from recognized board.

Age Limit: 18 to 25 Years. Relaxation in maximum age limit is given to reserved category students as per govt. norms.

Selection Procedure: The selection Procedure consists of Written Exam. The students qualified in written exam i.e objective type are called for descriptive type Exam. The descriptive exam is of qualifying nature.

**The written exam consists of 150 questions which have to be solved in 2 hours duration. So to get selected in this exam you have to score at least 110 marks (for UR candidate) in the exam.

Preparation strategy:

>>Go through good General Awareness book as Lucent and try it to read as quickly as possible and then solve previous year papers.

>>Go though good English grammar book and learn all rules from it. Read newspaper daily and note down the vocabulary.

Educational qualification required to apply for SSC MTS Recruitment Exam:

The minimum educational qualification required to apply for this SSC MTS recruitment examination is,

>> Matriculation or 10th Class from a recognized board

>> Minimum age required is 18 years and the maximum age must not exceed 25 years and there will be an age relaxation for reserved category candidates.

>> SSC MTS Recruitment 2017 will be held in the month of April and May 2017 and its official cutoff will be released in later on months i.e., in June or July 2017

* For General - 95 to 100 marks
* For OBC candidates - 85 to 90 marks
* For SC Candidates - 55 to 60 marks
* For ST Candidates - 60 to 65 marks
* For Ex-servicemen- 50 to 55 marks
