Re: What is the detailed qualification for UPSC exam?
Quote:
Qualifications Required For UPSC Exam The Union Public Service Commission is a government body that conducts various examinations for recruitment of candidates to different government jobs.. The various examinations conducted by the UPSC are NDA,CDS,Engineering Services, Civil Services, Economic Services, etc There is a general misconception of calling the Civil Services Exam as the UPSC examination so I think you are talking about the same.. Civil Services Examination has 2 stages in written exam :- > CSAT or the Prelims has exams based on general awareness and aptitude.. > Mains is the 2nd stage of the written exam for which you can qualify only if you clear the CSAT first.. After clearing the written exam you will be called for the personal interview which will decide your final selection.. The qualifications required to appear for the Civil Services Exam are as follows :- 1) You should have completed your graduation in any discipline from a recognized institution..(no percentage restriction) 2) The permissible age limit within which a candidate can appear for the exam is 21 to 30 years for general candidates..33 years maximum age limit for OBC and 35 years for SC/ST 3) Maximum attempts allowed for general candidates is 4, for OBC it is 7 and for SC/ST there is no bar.. You can visit http://upsc.gov.in for more details.. all the best.. With Warm Regards Nitz |
