what are the differences between the cash book and the petty cash book

Cash book is the register to record every
business transaction occurred every day in a
business entity,
But petty cash book on the other hand is
devised to record the contingent expenditures
for which the junior accountant is given a
lump sum to meet such expenditures on a
weekly or monthly basis at the end of which
the total expenditure is then taken to the
record in the main cash book.....
