Pharmacy course is all about manufacturing of various kinds of Medicines / Drugs. During the Pharmacy course, the candidate would come across various aspects like how to prepare drugs, what chemicals to use with what quantities and the preparation procedures by using various tools and techniques.

Few courses that a candidate can opt for in the field of Pharmacy are
-D.Pharmacy
-B.Pharmacy
-M.Pharmacy

D.Pharmacy stands for Diploma in Pharmacy. It is a 2 year course. The minimum academic qualification that is required for the candidates to join this course is completion of 12th class in Science stream. After completion of this course, the candidates would be given admission for 2nd year of B.Pharmacy course through an Entrance Exam. However, if the candidate directly joins B-Pharmacy after 12th class, the duration of course would be just 4 years.

M.Pharmacy stands for Masters in Pharmacy and the duration of this course is 2 years again.

As per job opportunities, Pharmacy students can get job opportunities in
-Pharmaceutical Companies
-Hospitals
-Chemical Laboratories
-Biotech Companies etc.

They will get jobs in the following departments :
-Research & Development
-Quality Analysis
-Quality Control
-Production and Manufacturing
-Marketing

In the Hospitals, Pharmacists are the people who can suggest of what medicines to use and in what dosage. Initially, not much salaries would be given for the candidates in this field. However after working for few years, the candidates will be having scope to get good salaries.

You did not mention your highest level of academic qualification. In case if you have completed your 12th class with Science stream, then I suggest you to opt for Medicine or BDS courses rather than coming for Pharmacy.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
