What are the educational qualifications for indian army?

HSC pass is the minimum educational qualification specified for joining NDA. No cut off marks is required in XII class. Those having studied Physics and Mathematics as subjects are eligible join any of the 3 wings of army, army, navy, and air force. Age of the aspirant must be between 16 ½ and 19 years. Only unmarried male candidates can apply.

1 Soldier (General Duty)(All Arms)

Age 17 1/2 -21Yrs.
>>8 th for Tribals of all North East States
>>10 th for Non Tribals of Assam,Meghalaya and Tripura

2.Soldier Clerk/Store Keeper Technical (All Arms)

Age 17 1/2 -23Yrs.
>>10+2/Intermediate exam pass in any stream(Arts,Commerce and Science) with 50%
marks in aggregate and minimum 40% marks in each subject.

>>Should have studied and passed English and maths/Accts/Book keeping in class 10 or 10+2 with 40% marks in each subject.

>>In case of graduates with maths and English assubject in BSc,the stipulation of 40% marks in class X or XII is waived off.

>>In case of graduatewithout English and maths/Accts/Book keeping.He should have more than 405 in English and maths/accts/book keeping at least once in classX or XII.

3 Soldier Tradesman (allArms)

Age 17 1/2 -23Yrs 8 th for all candidates of North East States.

4 Soldier (technical)(technical Arms,Artillery,Army Air Defence)

Age:17 1/2 -23Yrs.
>>10+2/Intermediate exam Simple pass in Science with Physics,Chemistry,Maths and English.
