Let me answer the second part of the question first. The other entrance exams for MBBS have been scrapped by the government. Now there is only one which is known as NEET.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Development believes in One nation, one exam theory. On the same theory it introducted ISEET entrance exam for engineering colleges.

Apart from NEET now there is only AIIMS entrance exam. It can not be scrapped until taken approval from the parliament.

Now to answer first part of the question, if you have cleared compartment, then there is no issue. You don't have to complete 12th standard once again. There is absoutely no need to do that.

Feel free to apply for the NEET entrance exam. The UG NEET entrance exam is conducted for both BDS and MBBS.

NEET Eligibility

1. Exam is open for Indian citizens only.

2. Must have completed 12th standard.

3. Subjects in 12th should be Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

4. Minimum of 50 percent marks in 12th standard.

5. SC/ST need 45 percent marks to appear for UG NEET.

6. For All India Seats, your age should be at least 17 years old.

7. The upper age limit is 25 years.

8. Five years relaxation in upper age limit is given to SC/ST.
