Hello dear,

The first the for most thing for space research is interest in science fields.

Space research is not limited to one particular field of science but it has many vast number of fields like Nuclear, modern physics, Astronomy. Astro Physics, Observatory, Optics, Engineering (numerous Branches) , Nano technology, many more.

So which exam will make your career in Space reseach is completely depends on which field your presently belongs to.

ISRO is one among them in INDIA which do things related to space.

but its different from Astronomy.

If your from B tech field, You can join ISRO as scientist and do research on vehicles they send for space missions.

For this you need to give exam for ISRO.

Every year ISRO conducts examination for B tech/M tech students.

If your Interested in Astronomy or Cosmology, though Cosmology is not there in India,

Indian Institute of Astro-Physics is one among the famous Institute for space observatory and research.

JEST examination is one of the exam which needs all basic and complex physics to crack the exam.

This can make your career in Research.

Space research is not a small topic or the thing which is done individually .

Its a group of different peoples working together: Engineers, Physicists, technicians, Mathematicians etc.

You can be a part of those groups.

All the Best!!
