Introduction::
The Common Admission Test (CAT) is an all-India test conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) as an entrance exam for the management programes of its seven business schools (IIMA, IIMB, IIMC, IIML and others).

Eligibility::
An applicant who have, at his discretion a graduation degree from a recognized university with a passing 50% marks is said to be entitled for the CAT test. CAT scores are though accepted by numerous institutes as the admission criteria for their programs. However, different institutes have rolled out their very own entrance examinations, like Xavier�s XAT, etc.

Those candidate have above 50% in graduation are eligible for CAT exam.For SC/ST candidate this marks is decreased to 45% in graduation.

Your graduation college or university must have UGC approval.

This year exam date is already announced.So please check it out.

Registration-17 august 2011 to 28 September 2011

Exam date-22 October to 18 November 2011.

CAT means Common Aptitude Test and the examination was conducted by Indian Institute of Management every year.

If you are interested in M.B.A course and then apply for CAT examination.

To apply for this examination the candidate have to completed graduation from a recognized university or equivalent qualification and the candidate must secure at least 50% marks in their examination.5% relaxation is given to the SC/ST/PWD categories.That means the candidate need to secure at least 45% marks in their examination.

Note :- Candidates who are appearing in the final year of degree can also apply for this examination.

Reservations as per Government rules :-

15% for SC categories.
7 1/2% for ST categories.
27% for OBC(non-creamy layer) categories.

About CAT Examination :

CAT Stands for Common Admission Test and This examination is Conducted by IIM's Every year, The Notification of CAT Examination will be Published in the Month of August every year, And the examination will be Held in November Every Year. For this year CAT Examination was already Updated and the last date of apply for CAT examination was already Over.

The CAT Examination was already Started and If you are Interested in this examination, then you have to complete your Graduate degree course in any discipline form a recognised University with Minimum 50% Marks, Final year Graduate candidates are also eligible to apply for CAT Examination.


CAT Examination was Only Computer Based Test, This examination is Objective and there are Two sections in this examination and you have to cracked both these paper Individually, Only then you will scored good Percentile in CAT Examination.

If you cracked this examination with Good Percentile, then you are eligible to appear for Next round in top Business schools i.e Group Discussion and Personal Interview, and after cracked all these stages you will get admission in MBA Course in top Business Schools.

CAT is considered to be the toughest management entrance exam in India..and if someone manages to clear this exam with a good percentile..then he can easily get admission in any of the top MBA Institutes of Management..

In order to appear for CAT..you must have 50% or above as aggregate in your graduation..

If you are not applying the CAT exam please wait for the Next year CAT exam.

The qualification for the CAT exam is minimum graduates from the Recognized university.

The CAT exam is based on computer knowledge and also the Objective type Exam.
