Re: What kind of qualification is required for IIT exam?
The minimum academic qualification for appearing in JEE Main 2013 is that the candidate must have passed in final examination of 10+2 or its equivalent referred to as the qualifying examination. Those appearing in 10+2 ( Class XII ) final or equivalent examination in 2013 may also appear in JEE Main 2013 provisionally. However, JEE Main 2013 Admission Criteria in the concerned institution / university will be followed as prescribed by concerned university / institution and as per the guidelines & criteria prescribed by AICTE. The number of attempts which a candidate can avail at JEE Main 2013 shall be limited to 3 ( three ) attempts uniformly for all the candidates in consecutive years. The candidates passed +2 exam in 2011 or 2012 or appearing in +2 in 2013 are only eligible to appear in JEE Main 2013. Candidates passed +2 in 2010 or before or appearing in 2014 are not eligible to appear in JEE Main 2013. Thanks... |

Re: What kind of qualification is required for IIT exam?
Dear IIT aspirant,
First of all, IIT is not the name of any exam. IITs or Indian Institute of Technology are the group of prestigious engineering colleges that are spread all over India in different states. However, IIT-JEE is the exam that was conducted earlier for admission to IITs. From now, JEE Advanced Exam will be conducted for admission to IITs. JEE Advanced Exam will be just like IIT-JEE exam. It will have two Objective Papers of 3 hours duration. But firstly, you will have to crack JEE Mains Exam which will be conducted 2 months before of Advanced Exam. JEE Mains Exam will have only One Objective Paper of 3 hours duration. Eligibility Criteria of JEE Mains Exam: You must be 10+2 passed/appearing with PCM Stream from any recognized board. Your 10+2% must be above 45% if you have passed 10+2 with PCM Stream. Only 3 attempts are given to candidate for qualifying Mains Exam. Your previous attempts will be also counted of AIEEE, IIT-JEE. So, to appear in this exam, this must be your 1st, 2nd or 3rd attempt. Eligibility Criteria JEE Advanced Exam: You must be in the Top 20 Percentile of your Board to be eligible for this exam. You must qualify JEE Mains Exam before appearing in this exam. Your AIR must be within 1.5 lakh in JEE Mains Exam. |
