Development may refers to a process of being developed or in a development stage. It is actually a utilisation of scientific and technical knowledge to achieve certain objectives and needs of the nation.

While underdeveloped countries or least development country (LDC) refers to those countries which have:

Low per capita income
Low HDI (Human Development Index)
Low Industrial base
