CPT stands for Common proficiency Test . It is an entry level Examination for CA course . This Examination is conducted by Institute of Charted Accountant of India .

If your interested to apply for CPT Examination then you should complete 12th standard in any discipline with minimum 50% percentage of marks from recognized university . Final year candidate may also eligible to apply for this Examination .

Syllabus for CPT Examination :-

The CPT Examination is based on Objective type with multiple choice . There is Negative marking adapt in this entrance examination . So you will take special care while answering the question . Because for each wrong answers , you may loose your marks from your total marks .

There is no such criteria starting that you are required to have Maths in the qualification /degree to eligible for CA-CPT exam.

After passing 10+2 in any of arts/science/commerce stream you can apply CA-CPT.

If you are graduate you can apply for executive course of cs directly.

The minimum marks required for CPT:
B.com with 50% or more marks.
Graduation in any stream without maths 55% or more marks.
Graduation in any stream with maths 60% or more marks.

Refer:

all the best.
