There is no such criteria starting that you are required to have Maths in the qualification /degree to eligible for CA-CPT exam.
After passing 10+2 in any of arts/science/commerce stream you can apply CA-CPT. If you are graduate you can apply for executive course of cs directly. The minimum marks required for CPT: B.com with 50% or more marks. Graduation in any stream without maths 55% or more marks. Graduation in any stream with maths 60% or more marks. To join cpt exam You have passed 12th in any stream from a reconized board with 50%. You should be passed in all subject to apply cpt exam. Keeping work hard |

Eligibility requirements to appear in CA CPT June 2012:-
A candidate shall be eligible to appear in Common Proficiency Test CPT June 2012 to be held on 17th June, 2012 if he has : Either passed the Senior Secondary Examination ( 10+2 examination ) or its equivalent or must have appeared in the Senior Secondary Examination ( 10+2 examination ) or its equivalent of a recognized Institution, and Registered for CPT Course with Board of Studies of ICAI on or before 1st April 2012. A candidate who is already registered for Professional Education – I Course with Board of Studies of ICAI and switched over to CPT course on or before 1st April 2012 will also be eligible to appear in December CPT 2012. A candidate shall ordinarily be declared to have passed the Common Proficiency Test if he obtains at one sitting a minimum of 50 percent marks in the aggregate of all the four subjects / sections comprised in CPT ( Examination ), subject to the principle of negative marking. It is clarified that there is no requirement of securing minimum passing marks in a subject / section of CPT examination. There will be negative marking for each wrong answer. 1/4 ( One Fourth ) mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. Please note that multiple darkened circles for a question will also be treated as wrong answer. ALL THE BEST GOUTHAM. |

ELIGIBILITY for CPT: => A candidate must Have competed their 12th in any stream with atleast 50% from recognise Board exam. => age limit should not exist 28 years. there is a relaxation available for OBC and SC/ST category on upper age. Procedure of Exame: All the best |

There is no stipulation as to the minimum percentage that a student should have got at the 10 + 2 examination. Just a pass at the examination is sufficient.
