The age band for the UPSC Civil Services Exams is as below
AGE- Minimum 21 years for all candidates Maximum 30 years for the General candidates Candidates belonging to OBC gets 3 years and SC/ST gets 5 years age relaxations Educational Qualifications - Graduation pass in any Stream To become an IAS and IPS you have to write the entrance test which is held in Three stages: >> Prelims >> Mains >> Interview If you clear all the three stages and based on your rank, you will be alloted the departments |

And about the duration of course I say that the exam is held in two phases: 1.Prelims in May 2.Mains in November And the ones who clear Prelims are eligible for Mains and after it the Interview is held and then final training.. |

IAS Eligibility Criteria like :: ===================== *** The candidates must be citizen of Indian. *** You must be complete graduation degree in any recognized university. *** You age limit between 21 to 30 years. *** Age relaxation was, OBC candidates 3 years. The acronym for IAS is Indian Administrative Services. The acronym for IPS is Indian Police Services. The minimum age to become IAS and IPS officers is 21 yrs. The maximum age to become IAS and IPS officers is 30 yrs. The relaxation of age for IAS and IPS is 3 yrs and 5 yrs for OBC and SC/ST contenders. |
