I m Kirti kanse..17 years...science student..appearing 12th board exam...i just want to know that whats the all requirements for IPS exam? and whats the processor of exam? like...exam form, exam date, syllabus n any coaching....
plz give all information..to become a perfect IPS officer....

Respected Sir, i want to become an I.P.S officer since childhood. Plz suggest me about that.

i completed my b.com graduation in open university so i eligible for mpsc and upsc.......?

Is height that important for ips, if we r 2 or 3 cm less than requirement then, am i eligible for IPS...... ??

Sorry to say that at that time you are not applicable IPS Exam .Because your age is now 17 years old.Also you are in 12th standard .

But i have discussed the details of IPS Exam as per query .

Those candidate have completed graduation in any discipline from recognized university are eligible for IPS exam.

But your age should be in between 21-30years for general candidate.In IPS exam their is provide age relaxation for OBC candidate is 3years and for SC/ST candidate is 5 years.

The maximum attempts for Sc/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years.

Physical Criteria are -

Height:- General Male-165cm and Female-150cm whikle SC/ST Male-160cm and Female-145cm.

Chest:- Male-85cm while Female-79cm expandable to 5cm in both the cases.

The Civil Services exams like IAS,IPS are conducted by the Union Public Service Commission.It is good that you are writing those exams,but for getting selected you need to work very hard.The eligibility details of the IPS exam is as follows:

The Eligibility details of the I.P.S Exam is as follows:

• Candidates must have completed graduation from any recognized university.

• Minimum 21 years of age.

• The maximum age allowed is 30 years.

• Age relaxation is provided for reserved categories.

• 5 years for SC/ST Candidates.

• 3 years for OBC candidates.

• Physical Requirements: MALE - HEIGHT-165 cm,If ST Category-160 cm.
  Female-155 cm,If ST Category-150 cm.

EXAM PATTERN:
The exam pattern is as follows:
Basically there are three stages.They are:
1.PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION.
2.MAIN EXAMINATION.
3.PHYSICAL TESTS.

There is no specific exam as IPS Exam, to become an IPS officer one has to apply, appear and crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC once every year.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate with good Physical Fiteness.

Apart from this the candidate aspiring for IPS should have maintained a minimum physical requirement such as:-

A candidate must have completed their graduation Degree in any Descipline ) with atlest 55% from recognise universities.
Final year students are also applicable.

Age Limit:

1. General category student:- 21-30 years.
2. OBC relaxation in upper age +3 years.
3. SC/ST relaxation in upper age +5 years.
