pls tell me age limit for ips,ias(normal cust). Because i want to appear for IAS exam?

For IAS and IPS, one need to go through civil services examination conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission).

Here the age criteria for IAS and IPS exam.
-One should be in the age group of 21-30 years (for General)
-Relaxation in upper age limit for 3 years for OBC candidates. So the maximum age limit is 33 years
-Relaxation in upper age limit for 5 years for ST/SC candidates. So the maximum age limit is 35 years.

Number of attempts :
-Maximum of 4 attempts for General candidates
-Maximum of 7 attempts for OBC candidates
-NO limit for SC/ST candidates

-for general category the age limit is 21-30 years...
-for OBC category the age limit is 30 and relaxation period of 3 years .so, totally 33 years for OBC candidates...

Union Public Service Commission Conducts the Civil Service Examination Every Year.

The Candidate Age should Not Below 21 years and Not above 30 years of age on August 1st of the year of Examination.

The Upper Age limit Prescribed above will be Relaxable :-

• Upto a Maximum of Five years for SC/ST Candidates.
  
• Upto a Maximum of Three years for OBC Candidates.

Dear Friend,

For appearing in IAS exam maximum age limit is 25 years in case of general category.

SC/ST candidates can appear up to thirty years as per the existing rules of the government.

IAS is Indian Administrative Service and the exam is conducted by UPSC and it is held every year.

For writing this exam the candidates must satisfy the eligibility criteria's

Eligibility:

• The candidates must be a citizen of India.
• The candidates must have a age limit for 21-30 years.
• For SC/ST - 335
• For OBC - 33
• For Ex-service men it is 5 years exception.
• The candidates must have a degree from a recognized university.

IPS is Indian Police Service and the exam is conducted by UPSC and it is held every year.

The eligibility needed for the candidates to write the exam are:

For general maximum age limit is 30 and they can write this exam only for 4 times.
For OBC maximum age limit is 33 they can write this exam only for 7 times.

for giving ias exam, the student must have done graduation in any field with at least 60% marks. the age limit for the exam is 21 to 30 years which can increase to 35 years for sc/st students.
if you are having these qualifications, then only you can give the exam.
there will be three rounds in the exam. firstly, you will have to give the preliminary exam. this exam will be of objective questions.
after qualifying in that exam, you will have to give the main exam, which will be in written form.
after passing both the exams, you will be called for the personal interview.
after passing that interview, you will become an ias officer.
