What is the age limit for IAS, IPS?
pls tell me age limit for ips,ias(normal cust). Because i want to appear for IAS exam?

For IAS and IPS, one need to go through civil services examination conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission).
Here the age criteria for IAS and IPS exam. -One should be in the age group of 21-30 years (for General) -Relaxation in upper age limit for 3 years for OBC candidates. So the maximum age limit is 33 years -Relaxation in upper age limit for 5 years for ST/SC candidates. So the maximum age limit is 35 years. Number of attempts : -Maximum of 4 attempts for General candidates -Maximum of 7 attempts for OBC candidates -NO limit for SC/ST candidates |

the age limit for IAS depends on categories like ...... -for general category the age limit is 21-30 years... -for OBC category the age limit is 30 and relaxation period of 3 years .so, totally 33 years for OBC candidates... -for st/sc category the age limit is 30 and the relaxation time period is 5 years.so,totally 35 years for st/sc candidate. -one can attempt the IAS entrance test for 4 time only....in case of OBC candidates maximum attempts are 7 times and for st/sc no limit...... |

Age limit for civil service exam is:
General category: candidate must have attained 21 years and not be over 30 years on August 1 of the year of examination. SC/ST: up to a maximum of 5 years. OBC: up to a maximum of 3 years. A general candidate can attempt Four times only.Where as Seven attempts of OBCs. And no limit for SCs/STs. Minimum education criteria = Graduate also Candidates appearing for Degree qualification are also eligible for appearing in the examination, however, they are supposed to submit proof of passing the requisite qualification along with with Detailed Application Form for Civil Services (Main) Examination. |

Age Limits for IAS/IPS:
Candidate, -> Should be 21 years old by august 1st of that year. -> Age Limit for, -> General - 30 -> OBC - 33 -> SC/ST - 35 Note: Ex Serviceman will get 5 years exemption. |

If you wants to appear for the entrance exam of IAS then the eligibility criteria is as follows:
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: To apply for IAS your age should be 21-30 years for general category. For OBC it should be 33 years maximum. For ST/SC it should be 35 years maximum. You should be a graduate in any disciple. For more information please visit www.upsc.gov.in |

he Qualification what you required are as follows:-
->you need to complete your minimum age of 21 years to appear for this examination. ->You need to have a degree in your hand to enroll for this examination. The maximum age limit for this examination is 30 years for general 33 for OBC and 35 years for SC/ST Coming to graduation degree you need to have any degree there is no compulsion that you must have only a particular degree The candidates from all the streams like Arts,Commerce,Science everyone are eligible the only criteria required is a degree that's all. This is the most basic eligibility criteria for attempting Civil Services Examination which is a common examination for IAS,IPS,IFS IRS etc., like these we have another 20 services. |

IAS, IPS is an exam that makes you to enter into the competitive world and make you to get the top posts such as DC and DSP and ACP so on..
To become an IAS, Your age should be between 21 years and 30 years. For OBC candidates, the upper age limit is maximum 33 years, and for SC/ST candidates, the upper age limit is maximum 35 years. the age is calculated on the basis of 1st of August of the year applying for it. both exams are conducted by UPSC one time in every year. both have same eligibility criteria, the age limit exist for this exam in 21-30 for general candidates, there is 5 & 3 years relaxation for SC\ST and OBC candidates.
no.of attempt- 4 times for general and seven times for OBC candidates. SC\ST candidates face no such kind of restriction about no. of attempt. |

age limit criteria is same for both ias and ips .

IAS\IPS civil service service exams are conducted by UPSC (UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION).
for appear in theses civil service exams you must have graduation degree from a recognized college, what ever may the stream is .... AGE LIMIT- 21-30 years for a GENERAL CANDIDATE, 21-33 years for a OBC candidates 21-35 years for a SC\ST candidates. this examination has three stages to clear- 1.CSAT 2.MAINS 3.INTERVIEW No. of attempts- four for a general candidate, seven for a OBC candidate, no such restriction for a SC\ST candidate. thank you!! |

the age limit for this exam is 21-30
there are 5 & 3 years of age relaxations are applicable for SC\ST & OBC candidates respectively. ie. 21-33 years for a OBC candidate. 21-35 years for a general candidate. |

21-30 years of age people can apply and the number of attemps are are 4 for general candidates.it varies for different caste people.so better search www.upsc portal.com for every information that you need for these exams.it supplies updates,previous papers and also study material.....choose your subjects and concentrate.....all the best for your preparation. |
