What is the pattern of UPSC Prelims? Tips for preparation?
Sir/Madam, I want to prepare for UPSC Prelims. So, can you please let me know about some preparation tips for this Prelims. And also let me know about the pattern of this recruitment exam. Thank you!

UPSC stands for Union Public Service Commission and it conducts Civil Service Examination for recruitment as an I.A.S, I.P.S Officer etc.
The examination is conducted in three stages as Preliminary, Mains, and Interview. To qualify in examination you have to go through the syllabus of examination as well as Current Affairs. For more detail information about syllabus visit at www.upsc.gov.in. |

Pattern of UPSC Preliminary Exam:
UPSC stands for Union Public Service Commission. This is conducted in three stages ( Preliminary, Main, Interview) . As per your question, I have given the Preliminary exam pattern below. The Preliminary Examination consists of two papers of objective type (multiple-choice questions) carrying a maximum of 400 marks. Civil Services examination has three stages:
Preliminary exam. Mains exam. Personal interview. The paper pattern of Preliminary exam: 1. Paper I is of General Studies and has 100 questions of 200 marks. 2. Paper II is of 200 marks. It is qualifying and you have to score only 66 marks to pass. Preparation Tips: Reading The Hindu or The Indian Express is necessary for current affairs. Focus on NCERT books of social science. Revise as much as possible. Solve mock and previous year question papers. |
