At first i want to tell you that IAS examination is the toughest examination in INDIA.
You will have to prepare for this very hard.Frankly speaking do not hear any body.It's better try to find anybody who gave this examination before.speak to him and know what is best. Here I can give you the details of IAS examination. IAS Eligibility : Academic Qualification : The candidate must be graduate from any university. Age Limit : ForGeneral :21 to 30 years.[SC/ST will get 5 years age relaxation and OBC will get 3 year age relaxation] No Of Attempts : General : 4. SC/ST: Unlimited. OBC :7. |

Indian Administrative Services(IAS) exam is conducted by UPSC.It is conducted in three stages i.e Preliminary,Main and Interview.You need to pass all the three stages in order to become an IAS officer. The eligibility for IAS exam is as follows: -Bachelor's degree from a recognized university. -Age limit: 21-30yrs. Syllabus: 1)Preliminary exam-It consist of 2 papers i.e General Studies and Optional subject.Each paper will be of 2hrs. 2)Main exam-It consist of 9 papers in all i.e one of the Indian languages, English, Essay GK and Current Affairs: 2 papers on general studies Optionals: papers from two subjects that fall in optional-1 and two papers from optional-2.Each paper will be of 3hrs. You can get the notification of the exam from the UPSC website. www.upsc.gov.in Regards |

preparation of ias is gud question.first try to make the notes so that referring in future.is.easy. always tries to get the complete knowledge about any topic both negative an positive view.make habit of reading news papers joinrals like frontline,chorincle, and try to judge urself time to time with mock papers
