Companies that comes for campus interviews normally have a mind set of recruiting the creamy layer of the college i.e. the best students who will turn out to be a good employee for their company. So they have certain eligibility criteria fixed by them through which they filter students through various steps. First of all they ask for the selected students from college for the process. Normally student with overall 60% and with no current backlog are asked by most of the companies but there are some companies that only require 60% in B.tech or B.E. Some companies have higher criteria like 70% overall or 65% overall. So it depends totally on company what they ask for. If you have 60% overall or above without any backlog then don't worry about it. You will get many job opportunity. Just prepare yourself for the placement test and interview! All the best! |

Campus Interview is one of the best options available to the students of any college. I would explain in detail what it actually means. A Campus is basically the college premise within which the college infrastructure is built and developed. It consists of various building, playgrounds, labs etc. So every time when a college provides courses, it ensures its corporate relations with the companies and has tie ups with them. These companies visit the college campuses for their recruitment processes and conducts ON CAMPUS RECRUITMENT DRIVES for the placement of their candidates. So its one of the best opportunity that any graduate gets from a reputed college or university where he studies. Also because the off campus recruitment's are heavily tough and demand a lot of skills and knowledge to be cracked. Talking of the Eligibility for the Campus Interviews and recruitment processes, I would say that it depends from company to company. Every company comes with its own set of Eligibility Criteria's and selects candidates on that basis only. Some of the common Eligibility Criteria says :- -> You should have be having any backlogs and pending back papers at the time of the interview or recruitment process -> You should have a minimum 60% aggregate or equivalent 6.0 CGPA and its a must. Not even 59.9% an sit for the process. -> You should have good technical and communication skills. -> The Process contains of 3 stages :
Some of the top companies visiting the most prestigious colleges in our country are : TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture, HCL, etc.. Hope this helps All the best Regards RANJEET |

Re: What is the percentage required for campus interview?
At the time of appearing for any campus interview or for any other job position, they will consider only aggregate percentage of marks but not the percentage of marks that you scored in individual years of the course.
In such a case, if aggregate percentage of marks is high, then it will be good even though if you secure low percentage of marks in one academic year. Campus Placements are golden opportunities for the candidates as they are going to get a job opportunity at the time of finishing course itself and without being entered into market. I have seen many of the candidates who did not get job opportunities through campus placements and struggling a lot to get job in outside market because of huge competition. Please don't be like that and make most out of campus placements. Here is the eligibility criteria required to be eligible for campus placements. You should have scored minimum 60% of marks in all your academic levels. Now some companies are asking for a minimum of 65% of marks. You should not have any pending backlogs of your academics. Your academic gap should not be more than 2 years. The selection process involves Written Exam Group Discussion Technical Interview HR Interview It would be better if you strong in subject knowledge and communication skills. You can easily get the job. So, try to collect the placement papers of top companies and have good preparation for the same. Wish you all the best. |
