What is the procedure for applying fresh passport?what should i do for applying the passport online.

You should have the following document
1. Address Proof
2. Birth Certificate (in case you are born after 24th January 1989)
3. Documentary Proof for Non-ECR (emigrants check required) ..generally your 12th class marksheet

You can fill the form online. The link for application is as follows
http://passportindia.gov.in/AppOnlineProject/welcomeLink

You can fill in your details and also take a print out.
In the forms along with your details, you need to choose date and time.

On the choosen date and time, you need to go to passport kendriya with required documents.

They will check all your documents and guide about the procedings.

You file would be submitted.
Few days afterwards a police would come for varification at your home.
Once the varification has been done you would be given passport in next 30-45 days
