There is no need to cancel JEE Main examination paper 2 even if you have applied for JEE Main paper 1 and 2. You can appear only in JEE Main examination paper 1 and absent for JEE Main examination paper 2.

There is no need to worry that you have applied for both examination papers. If you don't appear for JEE Main examination paper 2 then, it will be treated as absent, there will be not any problem and you can appear only in JEE Main examination in paper 1.

If I remain absent for jee main paper 1 will it be cost as one of the three attempts? I had applied for both paper 1 and 2 but now I am having second thoughts about taking paper 1 and I wish to take it directly in the month of april, what would you suggest ? I have taken paper 2 today but paper 1 is my primary goal.
