Eligibility criteria for CID exam:-

Minimum qualification required to apply for this examination is completing a degree course from a recognized Institution.

Age criteria:-

1. Sub Inspectors in CPOs – 20 years to 25 years
2. Assistant / Sub Inspector in CBI – 20 years to 27 years
3. Statistical Investigators – Maximum 26 years
4. For all other posts – 18 years to 27 years.

SSC CGL 2015:-

Date of Notice: 14th March 2015 (Expected)

Last Date: 13th April 2015

Date of Examination: 14th and 21st June 2015

CID stands for the Central Investigation Department.

The entrance exam which you need to clear in order to become CID officer is Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level exam.

The minimum academic qualification required for this exam is bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Final year candidates can also apply for the SSC CGL exam.

The age limit is 20-30 years as per latest notification. Relaxation in age applicable to reserved categories.

Stages of exam:

~~Written test

~~Physical test

~~Personal interview.

The qualification required for becoming Central Investigation Department Officer are as below:

1. Candidate must have done bachelor's degree in any desired discipline from a university recognized by UGC.

If you are pursuing your final year of graduation then also you are eligible to appear for entrance exam of CID.

2. Age criteria is 20-30 years for general candidates and relaxation of three years to OBC and five years to SC/ST respectively.

3. Physical fitness is necessary.

After satisfying these criteria, you will have to apply for the SSC Combined Graduate level exam and pass all the stages to become CID officer.
