Qualification requirements may vary with job profile. For clerical and P.O profiles, graduation is the basic qualification required. For Specialist Officer job professionally qualified candidates can apply. Qualification should be obtained in any of the subjects like law, Engineering or Agriculture. Age of the candidate must be less than 30 years.

Dear There, The acronym for IBPS is Institute of Banking Personnel Selection. The eligibility criteria required for IBPS examinations are prescribed as below:- * Completion of graduation in any stream from any recognised college or university. * Age limit- 20-28 yrs for clerk and 20-30 yrs for PO. * Age relaxation- 3 yrs for OBC, and 5 yrs for SC/ST contendors. * Nationality- Indian. IBPS stands for Institute of Banking Personnel Services. It is not a exam but institute that conducts various bank exams. IBPS is more than 40 years institute. There are 19 Public Sector Banks that participates in the entrance exams by Institute of Banking Personnel Services.
There are two major entrance exams conducted by the IBPS:- IBPS Clerk IBPS Bank PO All the 19 Public Sector Banks participates in these exams. After clearing any of these two exams, you can apply for job in PSU Banks. IBPS Clerk Eligibility 1. You should have bachelor's degree. 2. Also a diploma/degree in Computers. Or IT/Computers should be subject in High School/College. 3. You should have good command over official language of the state where you want admission. 4. The age limit is 20 to 28 years to apply. 5. There is 3 years relaxation for OBC. 6. SC/ST candidates are eligible for 5 years relaxation. 7. There is 10 years relaxation for PWD. IBPS Bank PO Eligibility 1. The candidate should have graduation degree. 2. There is no percentage criteria. 3. Age limit is 20 to 30 years for the exam. 4. There is 3 years relaxation in upper age limit for OBC. 5. SC/ST candidates are eligible for 5 years relaxation. 6. PWD candidates are eligible for 10 years relaxation. |

IBPS is Institute of Banking Personnel Selection.
IBPS conducts examination for recruitment in the 20 Public Sector Banks in India. The qualifications for different cadres differs according to the post in the bank. Graduation in any discipline is required for IBPS PO and Clerical Cadres. The age limit for IBPS PO is between 21 to 30 years if you are General Category candidate. The age limit for Clerical Cadre is 18 to 28 years if you are General Category. Three is age relaxation for different categories which are as follows: SC/ST – 5 years OBC- 3 years PWD – 10 years The examination will have a Objective Type paper and Interview . Objective type paper will have negative marking and sectional cut off means you have to pass in each and every section then only you will be eligible for interview. After qualifying IBPS exam you will get a scorecard and then you have to apply for Bank vacancy on the basis of your scorecard. If your score in sufficient then you will be selected for the post. IBPS - Institute of Banking Personal Selection conducts examination for bank Clerical and P.O. post for 19 Public Sector banks.
The eligible candidate aspiring for IBPS Clerical Exam, must be an Indian Citizen having either Completed 10th with 60% marks or having completed 12th with 50% marks in any stream from a recognised Board or having completed Graduation in any stream from a recognised university within the age of 18 to 28 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate with good knowledge over computer operation. IBPS stands for the INSTITUTE OF THE BANKING AND PERSONNEL SELECTIONS ,.. This is the institute which conducts the CWE (COMMON WRITTEN EXAMINATION),. Through the CWE , one can apply for the various banking posts in various banks. There are almost 20 banks , which recruit their respective posts through this examination, .. The name of the banks are -- The educational requirements -- * You must have a graduation degree from a recognized college. * you must have working knowledge of the computer . * you must have operating knowledge of MS WORD, MS OFFICE, MS EXCEL, MS EXCESS , TALLY etc etc,.. * you must have Indian nationality. The age limit for this examination is 21-30 years,.. There are some years of the age limit relaxations are also applicable for the reserved categories. 21-33 years for the OBC Candidates, 2135 years for the SC\ST CANDIDATES.. List of Participating banks:- Clerk exam details:- The candidate should be complete graduation in any stream from a recognised university. Percentage is not required for this exam. You must be a citizen of india. Age criteria:- The age limits are 20 years to 28 years, 3 years age relaxation for OBC candidates, 5 years age relaxation for SC/ST candidates. Details about PO exam:- The candidates should be complete graduation or any bachelors degree from a recognised university. No need of percentage restrictions to appear this exam. You must be a citizen of india. Age criteria:- The age limits are 21 years to 30years, 3 years age relaxations for OBC candidates, 5 years age relaxation for SC/ST candidates. PO CLERKS SPECIALIST OFFICERS Eligibilty for the PO exams is: Graduation Pass with Minimum 60% marks Age should be between 21 and 30 years OBC gets 3 years and SC/ST gets 5 years age relaxations Eligibilty for the CLERKS exams: Graduation Pass Age should be between 20 and 28 years OBC gets 3 years and SC/ST gets 5 years age relaxations Both these written exams are conducted once each year PO exam sare held in june and Clerks exams are held in December each year So, if you meet the above eligibilty than you can apply for the PO exams when notification comes out. Sir,recently IBPS has changed its criteria for eligibility.Graduation from any recognized university in any discipline is required for clerks and PO(probationary officers ) as well.Along with this atleast 60% in 12th standard is required.With some relaxation in age limits for SCs and STs ,for general the upper age limit is 35 years.

Clerks Probationary Officers The detailed eligibility criteria to apply for these positions will be as follows Academic Qualification : One should have completed Graduation with any of the stream from a recognized university to apply for Clerical Positions. You should have completed your Graduation with a minimum of 60% of marks from a recognized university to apply for PO positions. Age criteria : 20-28 years of age for General category. Relaxation in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category. Relaxation in upper age limit upto 5 years for the candidates of SC or ST category. The nationality of the candidate should be India. IBPS will conduct the following selection procedure Written Exam Interview Depending upon your performance in the Written Exam, if you score is more than the cut off marks as per your category, you will get a call for the Interview.
