You are now in 1st year so concentrate on study because the on-campus placement will be start from final year so you have enough time to prepare for TCS. Your through out marks must be above 60% and Maximum TWO year gap in through out career then you are applicable for TCS .Pending Backlog Candidate are not applicable for TCS . Some time they conduct for GD round so prepare well for GD portion and improve your communication skill. For technical department you should prepare well to C , JAVA ,ORACLE.Also prepare well to your final year project because maximum Question are coming from this topis. Your 12th percentage is not above 60% so you are not applicable for TCS because they can't consider below .1% even also. For more details you can visit to http://www.tcs.com/ . |

Re: What is the qualification needed to join TCS?
Coming straight to the point, the eligibility criteria are-
1) Belong to CS, IT, EN, ME, ECE branch of engineering. 2) Minimum 60% throughout in b.tech. 3) No improvement is considered in intermediate or high school is considered. 4) Basic knowledge of C if belong to some other branch and thorough knowledge of as many programming languages as you can handle if you belong to CS or IT. 5) No current backlogs by the time of joining. So, these are the must conditions. Other than these if you want to increase your chances of selection, start preparing aptitude. R.S. Agarwal is the best book for this. Also work out on your communication skills and try to take part in many extra curricular activities so that your CV also gets a boost. |

Re: What is the qualification needed to join TCS?
To join TCS-IT there is two method. The first is to get job as a fresher and the second way to join TCS is through your experience.
To get job as per your experience you need to wait for the vacancy in the company and for that you will require to visit the official website of the TCS careers for the regular notification of seats in TCS. The official website for the notification of job is : www.careers.tcs.com/ The another method to join is as a fresher which is mainly done by the campus placement. The selection process is given as below:--->> You should be from any of the following trade. BE / B.Tech / ME / M.Tech in any of the following disciplines:-->> Computer Science Information Technology Electronics and Electrical Engineering Electronics and Communication Electronics and Telecommunication Mechanical Engineering Electronics/Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering Electrical Engineering Instrumentation Engineering Network Engineering Marks Criteria:--->> Minimum Aggregate Marks of 60% and above in the first attempt in all academic courses Standard 10th onwards. Aggregate of all subjects in all semesters to be considered (All subjects mentioned on the mark sheet). First attempt implies securing 60% and above marks within the normal duration of the course Improvement exam is not first attempt and hence the marks secured in improvement exams should not be considered to calculate aggregate marks. In case you have done both, 12thand equivalent diploma, you should have secured minimum 60% aggregate marks in both courses. Backlogs criteria :-->> No pending backlogs at the time of appearing for the TCS Selection process. It is mandatory to declare pending backlogs, if any, in the TCS Application Form. Course Type:-->> Only Full time courses will be considered. Age Criteria:-->> Minimum Age-18 years and Maximum Age-28 years at the time of appearing for the TCS Selection process. |
