To become an Air Force Officer there are generally two ways depending upon one's academic and age qualification, one is through NDA and other through CDS.
NDA - National Defence Academy, the entrance exam for which is conducted by UPSC twice every year for an entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing. Qualification required to became an IAF officer through NDA:- -The candidate must be an unmarried Indian male. -Should have either appeared for the final 12th exam or pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subject of studies from a recognised Board. -Should be within the age of 16.5 to 19 years. -Should have possessed good Physical and Mental Fitness. CDS - Combined Defence Service, the entrance exam for which is conducted by UPSC twice evry year to join Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy. Qualification for IAF officer through CDS:- -The candidate must be an unmarried Indian male. -Should have either appeared for the the final Graduation Degree exam or pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subject of studies from a recognised University. -Should be within the age of 19 to 23 years. -Should have possessed good Physical and Mental Fitness. Qualificaiton : -
Graduation from a Recognised university See, with Graduation as qualification , you can apply for the AFCAT EXAM Generally , the AFCAT (Airforce common admission test ) includes 3 braches 1) Technical branch 2) Flying branch 3) Ground duty branch -)) For Technical branch , Your age should be between 18-28 years You should have completed b.TECH -)) For Flying branch , Your age should be between 19-23 years -)) For GROUND DUTY Branch , Your age should be between 20-23 years The Ground duty branch includes , ~ Administration ~ Logistics ~ Meterelogical |
