You can join NDA by taking the exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). There should be no evidence of weak constitution, bodily defects or overweight. The height and weight standards for men and women differ. Click to view the appropriate standards for each. Men Women Your chest should be well developed. The minimum range of expansion after full inspiration should be 5 cm. There should be no disease of bones and joints of the body. You should be free of any past history of mental breakdown or fits. Your hearing should be normal without any evidence of present or past disease of the ear, nose and throat. There should be no sign of functional or organic disease of the heart and blood vessels. Your blood pressure should also be normal. The muscles of the abdomen should be well developed without any enlargement of the liver or spleen. Any evidence of disease of internal organs of the abdomen can be a cause for rejection. An un-operated hernia can make you unfit for selection. If operated, this should have been done at least six months prior to the present examination and healing should be complete without any potential for recurrence. There should be no hydrocele, varicocele or piles. If operated for hydrocele and/or varicocele, this should have been done at least six months prior to the present examination and healing should be complete without any recurrence. Urine examination will be done and any abnormality, if detected, can be a cause for rejection. Any disease of the skin, which is likely to cause disability or disfigurement, will also be a cause for rejection. Vision will be tested. You must have good binocular vision. In case you have undergone or are detected to have undergone Radial Keratotomy, or any other procedure to improve the visual acuity, you will be permanently rejected. You should have sufficient number of natural and sound teeth. A minimum of 14 dental points will be acceptable. When 32 teeth are present, the total dental points are 22. You should not be suffering from severe pyorrhoea. The following are conditions pertaining to women that will entail rejection for all Air Force Duties: Acute or chronic pelvic infection Severe menorrhagia Severe dysmenorrhea Complete prolapse of uterus Pregnancy/ Amenorrhea Any other gynaecological condition, if so considered by the specialist. Under the Air Force Fitness Program, fitness points are awarded in four areas: aerobic (running), body-composition, push-ups, and crunches. Those who are not medically cleared to run will take the ergo-cycle test for the aerobic portion. Ratings are as follows: Excellent-- 90 or above Good -- 75 to 89.9 Fail -- below 75 Members must complete all components unless medically exempted. If medically exempted from any component, the total score is calculated as follows: Total Component Points Achieved X 100 divided by total possible points. Maximum component points are: Aerobic -- 50 Body Composition -- 30 Push-ups -- 10 Crunches -- 10 For individuals who are not medically excused from any portion, you simply add the points achieved in each category, based on results from the charts linked below. |

you haven't tell us about your educational qualification, well 12th passouts(only science stream) students can join indian airforce by appearing in nda examination which is going to conduct on april 2011.
Graduates students can join by appearing in SSC examination There is also technical entry scheme(only for science stream students) for which minimum educational qualification is 70% in PCM |

Few examples i can give are- your elbow bend should not be more than 15 degrees, you should not have squints, color blindness, spectacles, or any slightest issue with your eyes. So, just go for it without troubling yourself too much as if they find any flaw that may be corrected then they offer a grace period to get rid of that thing. e.g.- to get laser if you have spectacles. The Criteria to join the Air force is the candidate must be passed their 10+2th in any stream ( Arts, commerce, Science ) with at least 60 % marks. the height of the candidate should be at least 153 c.m. |

Dear friend
you can join air force in a two category 1.Air man 2.Flying Leutinent Air man : To join air force as a Air man, you have to appear in the exam of two categories either technical entry scheme or non technical entry scheme. The eligibilty for both is +2 with PCM. Flying Leutinent : To become a Flying Leutinent in indian Air force, you have to appear in the exam of NDA,after qualifying this exam, you will be call for AFSB, after clearing this you will become flying leutinent. The eligibility is +2 with PCM. Thank you |

To Join the Air force by two ways.They are 1.Through NDA exams 2.Through CDS exams Eligibility Criteria for NDA:- **12Th in any stream from any recognized board. **Age limit is 16.5 to 19years. **Nationality is Indian. **Only Unmarried male candidates are allowed. Eligibility Criteria for CDS:- **Graduation in any stream from any recognized university. **Age limit is 19 to 25years. **Nationality is Indian. Selection process:- 1.written test 2.Physical fitness test 3.Interview. There are numerous ways to join Indian Army. Some of the entries are listed as follows: After 10+2 there are following entries: NDA (National Defence Academy) And After Graduation you can apply for the following entries: CDSE (Combined Defence Service exam) This exam is conducted by the UPSC twice in a year., And also you can apply for different entries for Indian Air Force. UES entry (University Entry Scheme ) Only Graduated candidates can apply for this scheme. AFCAT Only for the Degree or B.Tech candidates. Age must be between 18 to 25 years. Indian airforce exam is conducted by the UPSC two times in every year. Eligibility criteria for indian airforce: Candidate should be complete 12th standard from any recognise board with mathematics and physics as main subjects. Only unmarried male candidates are eligible. You must be physically fit. Physical requirements: Height and Weight. Minimum height-157cms for men & 152 cms for women with correlated weight. Eye Sight 6/24, 6/24 correctable to 6/6 in each eye with glasses for tech branch & Submarine Cadre and 6/60, 6/60 correctable to 6/6, 6/12 with glasses for the Naval Architecture Cadre.
