hello iam srinivas, i want to know about the qualificatin and physical standerds for selection for indian customs officer/ now iam serving in indian air force as air force police. i completed 7 years of serviceand another thing is any relaxation for defence personal? if you explain me the above iam very glad to ur web site ///////thank u

Eligibility required for Indian Customs Officer :

1.You should complete the Graduation in any stream from the recognized university with minimum percentage of marks.

2.There is No restriction on the Percentage Criteria.

3. Minimum Age : 21 years

Maximum Age : 30 years

If you are interested to become a Customs officer you need to give a exam like UPSC Civil's. Through this you can become a " Customs Officer ". And also if you want to become a " Inspector of Customs and Excise department
" then you should have to write a exam called " SSC ( Staff Selection Services ) .

For UPSC civils you have to do more hard work.

Physical Standards required for Indian Customs Officer :

Male candidates :

Height should be --- 168 cms for ( Gen ,OBC and SC)

--- 160 cms for ST

Chest must be --- 84 cms , Expansion -- 5 cms.

Female candidates :

Height ----- 150 cms for all the candidates

Chest ------ 79 cms ,expansion 5 cms.

The eligibility required to become a Custom Officer are following:-

-UPSC conducts civil services exam for recruitment in Indian Revenue Services(Customs and Central Excise).

-The candidate should have completed graduation degree from a recognized university.

-The candidate age should be in between 21 years to 30 years.

-Some key skills which are needed in a custom officer are Communication skills, good judgment, leadership skills, perceptiveness, multi-tasking skills.

-The civil services exam comprises of

* Civil Services Aptitude Test(CSAT)

*Civil Services Main Exam

*Personality Test.

Physical standards required for Custom officer are;

For male candidate;

*Height 157.5 cms.

*Chest 81 cms. (fully expanded with a minimum expansion of 5 cms.)

For female candidate;

*Height 152 cms.

*Weight 48 Kgs
