As far as the age limit for the exam is concerned, the candidate must have attained the age of 18 years and must not be over 27 years. Candidates belonging to OBC category may write the exam upto the age of 30 years whereas, candidates belonging to Sc/St category may write the exam upto the age of 32 years. There is no percentage criteria in the Combined Graduate Level Examination and therefore, if you are a graduate, you may write the exam no matter how much scored in the qualifying exam. Eligibility Criteria: >>Bachelor’s degree is the basic qualification with 55% of marks >>working at Government of India the age above 19 yrs and must have completed graduation with 55% of marks Qualification for Exam: >>You will write the Civil Services Examination and this is conducted the U.P.S.C [Union Public Service Commission] and in this examination is conducted the 27 entry level for different services,like..............Indian Customs & Central Excise Services. >>The Civil Service Exam is conducted the 2 separate parts;.. 1.Preliminary and 2.Main Exam NOTE:The notifications RELEASED in the employment newspaper. |

A customs officer is employed by a government, and is under the guidance of a subdivision within the government.
For post of officers in customs and excise department need to appear for UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) examination. Details regarding the examination can be found on UPSC website. Requirements for becoming a Customs officer are: Border protection, excise and VAT assurance officer jobs are at HMRC's Officer grade. You would normally join as an administrative assistant or assistant officer and earn promotion to officer, although HMRC sometimes recruits directly into officer grade. Basic Eligibility criteria for custom officer is you must be hold a graduation degree from any recognized university and you must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years. Age relaxation is provide only for SC/ST/OBC candidate .For Sc/ST candidate have age relaxation is 5 years and for OBC candidate it is 3 years. To join at Officer grade you are likely to need five GCSEs (A-C) including English and maths, plus two A levels or equivalent qualifications. You will usually need two GCSEs (A-C) to join HMRC as an administrative assistant, and five GCSEs (A-C) including maths and English for assistant officer jobs. However, if you do not have these qualifications, you may be able to instead take a selection test to prove your skills and abilities in areas like teamwork and communication. CUSTOMS OFFICER:
Customs officer you need to qualify Civil Services Exam conducted by UPSC. Check for the Dates on official website:http://upsc.gov.in/ . Customs officers mainly take care of import and Export materials. Eligibility criteria : You must have acquired a basic age of 19 years and A bachelor's degree with 55% marks. To prepare for the Union Public Service Commission exams, You have keep track of Exam Dates on www.upsc.gov.in Or in Employment News. |
