What do you mean by Black Commando? What are the actual job or role of these Commandos in Indian Army? What are the requirements to be a Black Commando and how much qualification we need to be eligible for it?

Black Commandos are also known as Black cats or NSG Commandos.

The role of the Black Commandos is during the unwanted situations like Terrorist attacks, Protection for the VIPs, Rescue operations, Hijacking handling, Bomb disposal and etc.,

You cannot become directly a black commando. Firstly you need to enter into the Indian army then you need to increase your experience and then you need to join in the commando course, get trained & attend the exam and qualify it in merit then you can become a Black Commando.

To enter into Indian army you need attend the entrance exam named NDA conducted by UPSC twice every year. For applying to the exam you need to meet few eligibility requirements which are given below:

- The candidate should be citizen of India.
- The educational qualification required is 12th class or its equivalent education from any recognised board.
- The age limit is 16.5 - 19 years.
- The height should be 157 Cms and the weight should be proportional to height.
- The candidate should be physically & mentally fit.
