## NDA examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission twice every year to recruit the candidates in various vacancies of ARMY,NAVY and AIRFORCE WINGS of National Defence Academy

NDA stands for National Defence Service Exam.This exam is conduct twice time in a year by UPSC .

The minimum required qualification for NDA exam is 12th standard .If your 12th subject is mathematics and Physics then you are applicable for all above wings.You are from arts stream so you are applicable for only indian army post .NDA exam not require any percentage marks of the candidate.

The candidate age should between 16.5 years to 19 years.Only unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply. You must have Citizenship of India.

Pattern for NDA exam is given below , so please check the pattern and practice well the topics-



The selection procedure for NDA exam is 1) Written Test. 2) Physical Test 3)Medical Test 4) Personal Interview.

Yes you can give the NDA Exam if you fulfill certain conditions :

* You want to apply only for the Indian Army.

* Your age must lie in between 16.5-19 years.

The NDA Exam is conducted every year twice by the Union Public Service Commission in the months of April and August.

The NDA Exam conducted in the month of April is known as the NDA-I Exam whereas the NDA-II Exam is conducted in the month of August.

Yeah you are eligible for NDA exam, but an arts stream student in 12th standard is applicale for only Indian Army. The complete details are given below.

NDA stands for National Defence Academy.

This exam conducted by the UPSC two times in a year i.e NDA-I and NDA-II.


NDA has three wings:-

Indian army,

Indian navy,

Indian airforce.


Eligibility criteria:-

For Indian Navy and AirForce:

The applicant should be complete 12th standard with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry subjects from any recognised board or university.

For Indian Army academy:

The applicant should be complete 12th standard in any stream from a recognised university or board.


You must be a citizen of India.

The applicants maximum age should be 19 years and minimum age should be 16.5 years.

No relaxation in age.

You must be physically fit.

Only unmarried male candidates are eligible i.e girls are not applicable for NDA.

Percentage is not a matter to appear this exam.

It is not possible for you to give the NDA entrance exam after giving your class 12 board exam from arts stream.

Here is the eligibility criteria for the NDA entrance exam:-

NDA entrance exam eligibility criteria:-
You should be minimum 10+2
Age limit-16-19 Years
You should be an unmarried citizen of india

Exam pattern:

Paper I is mathematics of 300 marks
paper II is the general ability divided into two parts:-
Part A is english of 200 marks
Part B is general knowledge of 400 marks
So total 900 marks

Then there is the interview session which will yield you more marks
