Sir, approximately what is the annual salary of an I.E.S qualified fresh engineer ?

The salary of an IES qualified Fresh Engineer are as follows: -

1. Pay Scale = In Between Rs. 15,600 /- to Rs. 39,100 /-

2. Grade Pay = Rs. 4200 /-

3. DA + HRA + Other Allowances etc.

IES : Inidan Engineering services the most prestigious job which is the common dream for every engineer.

anyways as for information sake I will provide you the details regarding pay scale of IES officer after recruiting him as an engineer.

after second revision of sixth pay commission

the approx salary in the beginning of the career as an officer you will get around 15000 with transport and housing facility provided by ground

as you gain experience your position and salary will increase exponentially upto a threshold of 1 lakh.

but for the first 3-5 years you can expect a minimum of 36000-40000 this is just an approximate value don't completely depend on it.

as i said earlier this job is the pride of development

15600 (Basic)+5400(Grade)+DA+HRA+others… Gross would be around 36,000Rs per month.

About Designation and Growth:
First designation would be Assistant Director/AEE or equivalent. Foremost promotion will be based on rank you get in IE exam. After that promotions will depend on Seniority and other factors like confidential reports. Growth will be faster in some departments like Railways and slower in others like CWC.

can i go for MS to foreign country after being selected as ies officer?

If you are qualified in INDIAN ENGINEERING SERVICES(IES) exam then you have to attend the personnel interview the you will selected for engineering services in India.


After selection you have to go for training ,in training you will recieve the salary.

After training your salary will be above 25,000 at first month onwards.

Yes. IITians are nation builder. IES is for them (IITians) and other young talent who want to take India ahead.

ONE CAN WRITE THE EXAM AFTER DEGREE COMPLETION..U CAN NOT WRITE BEFORE YOUR STARTING OF 4TH YEAR AS IN CASE OF GATE EXAM.
