What stream I should opt for in 12th if I wanted to do research in astronomy and space sciences?


I aspire to do research in astronomy and space sciences. I am not interested in doing research on black holes and worm holes and all other massive objects of space. So what stream of education should i prefer after 12th? Which path should I follow?

If you are interested in Astronomy and Space Sciences, then you must opt for Science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 10+2 standard.

In +2 standard, you must apply for engineering entrance exam like JEE Main, JEE Advanced (after qualifying JEE Main exam), KITEE, SRMEE, BITSAT, COMEDK, etc.

After qualifying entrance exam, you must choose Aeronautical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
