IFS stands for Indian Forest Service. To recruit officers in the Indian Forest Service the IFS Exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission.

You can apply for IFS if you have these subject in Graduation , Graduation with at lest one of the subject namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology OR Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry OR in Engineering of any of University

Your age should be between 21 to 30 years.

Age relaxation :-

3 years age relaxation for OBC category
5 years age relaxation for SC/ST category
10 years for PH candidates

IFS Exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission every year in two stages :

a) Preliminary Examination
b) Main Examination.
