Sir,
i am now 10th passed. I am opting IFS as my career,
sir can you please tell the age structure for IFS?
What is the minimum age for an IFS officer.

IFS i.e Indian Forest Service Examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission Once in a year. 2014 Indian Forest Service Examination was already released and last date for receipt of application on 30th June 2014.

Eligibility Criteria :-

-> You should be an Indian citizen.

-> You must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years on 1st August of the year of Examination.

-> Upper age limits is applicable as per Government Norms.

-> A maximum of three years for OBC candidates.

-> A maximum of five years for candidates belongs to be a SC/ST.

-> You should have Bachelors degree with at least one subject namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering from a any recognized University.

-> Six attempts for General category candidates.

-> Nine attempts for OBC category candidates.

-> No limits for SC/ST candidates.

-> You must be physically and mentally fit while appearing for this examination.

IFS exam are conducted by UPSC. And eligiblity criteria for these exam are

candidate have passed bachelor's degree.

Age limit is 21-31 year.
And have age relaxation of 3, 5 and 10 year to the OBC, SC/ST and physicaly handicamp candidates respectively.

IFS stand for INDIAN FOREST SERVICES
Being a 10th student you are not eligible for IFS right now.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Educational Qualifications for IFS :
Bachelor’s degree of a recognized university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.

AGE limit:-
Age must be between 21 to 33 years for General category.
Age must be 21 to 35 for OBC category.
Age must be 21 to 35 for SC/ST category

Number of Attempts:
Four attempts for open, seven for OBCs and no limit for SCs/STs. If a person appears in the Preliminary Examination or even one paper is counted as an attempt.

IFS (Civil Service Exam) has three stages to be cleared by candidate.
